FREJA take over

As per 11th January 2010, FREJA Transport & Logistics A/S takes over all non-hauler related activities as well as the majority of the employees in Intertrucking ApS.

Intertrucking/Cargo Nord Distributions ApS has run their activities from terminals in Hedensted and Hjallerup near Aalborg with a large knowledge in customer related national distribution solutions. Realizing that the sharpened conditions on the market demand a size and a weight in order to maintain competitiveness, Intertrucking has chosen to sell their activities related to forwarding, including all customer agreements, to FREJA Transport & Logistics A/S.

For FREJA the supply of employees as well as activities means that we will be able to offer a substantially better coverage and with this better service in our national distribution system, as we with the terminal in Hjallerup will be substantially closer to our customers in the Northern part of Jutland.

In the same connection please be informed that in January we start using a new terminal scanning system as well as online POD. This is the first important step towards real time track and trace.

We expect that the acquisition will contribute a turnover of EUR 4 mio. this year.

FREJA Transport & Logistics A/S with head office in Skive and Danish departments in Taastrup, Stilling and from now in Hjallerup near Aalborg employs approx. 600 people in total in the Nordic group. We expect a turnover of approx. EUR 266 mio. in 2010 for the group.
